*P.S.: It is recommended to be consumed before breakfast as the absorption rate is at its peak in the morning.

I prefer to consume it directly~ It is easy to consume especially for people (e.g elderly) who have the fear of swallowing softgel. It has a sweet and sour strawberry-berry taste..... I LIKE IT!

Tried and Tested

In the past few months, I have complained about my dry/fatigue eyes problem in a few of my blog posts. Well, my dry/fatigue eyes have always been an annoying problem for me. Argh! Besides, I am nearsighted and a contact lens user, and am of course exposed to electronic devices for long hours.

Before I started taking Kinohimitsu EyeBright, I will always wake up with dry eyes (bloodshot eyes) in the morning. This creates discomfort when I wear contact lenses and because of that, I have to rewet my eyes with lubricant eye drop frequently throughout the day.

I started taking EyeBright on 1st September 2015. After taking it for a week, I noticed my dry eyes were less irritated in the morning. I also felt the discomfort level has significantly been reduced when I wore contact lenses. After just two weeks of taking EyeBright, I bid farewell to my dry eyes — problem solved! I don't need to use eye drop anymore.

Today, my vision has become more focused and sharper. I can clearly feel the EyeBright nourishes and keeps my eyes well-moisturized, preventing dry and irritated eyes, as well as strengthens and improves the health of my eyes for a better vision.

Overall, in my most honest opinion, it lives up to what it claims — IT WORKS! I have stocked up 5 boxes at home as it has officially become an essential supplement I have to take every morning! I simply can't stop raving about how effective this supplement is!

If you are constantly staring at electronic devices, wearing contact lenses for long hours and/or having dry/fatigue eyes, you gotta give this a try! Actually I highly recommend it to everyone, even if you don't have any eye problems. Well, you only have a pair of eyes, so it's better to start taking care of them before it's too late.

Kinohimitsu EyeBright is available at http://sg.kinohimitsu.com/, the pharmacies (Watsons, Guardians, Unity) and Kinohimitsu Beauty Counter at OG Orchard Point, People's Park and Albert Complex at the price of SGD$59.90. Kinohimitsu EYEBRIGHT Supplement | Review

Essential CC Oil & Night Care Milk | Review (Advertorial/Sponsored)

Introducing...
Essential CC Oil & Night Care Milk!

We often style our hair using heat styling methods such as hairdryers, straighteners and curlers or chemical processes such as dyeing, rebonding and perming. We do all sort of things to our hair to make it look nice, but did you know that all of these actions can stress and damage our hair? Well, if you don't, now you know! Even seemingly innocuous things like combing, twirling and tying our hair (simple ponytails or braids) can lead to damage.

And who are behind all these? The FIVE EVIL HAIR STRESS BROTHERS!

They use their super powers to create stress for our hair, so that our hair will look like theirs — fried, damaged and tangled.

You know, I know, we face them everyday. Let's see what makes them tick:
1. Blow drying: The process of blow-drying removes moisture from the hair, both outside and inside the hair — leaving hair dry, brittle and susceptible for further damage.
2. Combing: Combing through wet hair causes great hair damage as the hair follicle is at it's most fragile state. Likewise, the friction caused by coming through dry hair can form hair knots which makes hair prone to unnecessary breakage.
3. Split Ends: The ends of your hair are the oldest and driest parts. When the protective hair cuticle is destroyed at the end of the hair, the hair splits into two or more parts.
4. Dryness: Exposure to the sun, wind or even air-conditioning can result in hair dryness. The hair cuticle that protects the hair is weakened and is unable to retain moisture within the cuticles of the hair.
5. Hair Breakage: Besides daily heat styling, blow drying and brushing, other seemingly harmless actions like tying your hair into a tight ponytail or twirling your hair with your fingers exert excessive stress on your hair, resulting in hair breakage.

Be prepared and get ready with the fight!

Arm yourself with the NEW and IMPROVED Essential CC Oil
that protects your hair cuticles from these evil Hair Stress Brothers.

The 'CC' in the new Essential CC Oil stands for "Culticle Care". It also shares the same 'multi-functional' concept of BB/CC Cream in skin/makeup care.

Let me explain further...

The concept of BB/CC Cream = 1 cream provides a number of benefits like moisturize and brighten skin, provides coverage and sun protection etc. While, the concept of Essential CC Oil = 1 oil protects your hair from the five hair stresses.

CC Oil contains hair supplement oil which is similar to hair's natural oil, that forms a protective coat around each hair strand. With the Cuticle Coat Protection, it protects hair from the five hair stresses, leaving hair smooth, manageable and tangle-free all day.

How To Use?: Pump an appropriate amount onto palm. Spread and apply evenly onto damp or towel-dried hair, concentrating on mid-length to the tip of hair. Ideal for day use in the morning and throughout the day.

Although it is formulated with hair supplement oil, it is invisibly light and non-greasy.

Tried and Tested

BEFORE applying CC Oil:

Look at how dry and frizzy my hair was.

AFTER applying CC Oil:

I can feel my hair is softer, smoother (less frizzy) and healthier-looking.

I must say the CC Oil is particularly good at taming frizzy and unruly hair. It adds an instant boost of shine and smoothness to my tresses without weighing them down or leaving greasy after-feel. It also reduces and prevents split ends and tangles.

Hey, you think the FIVE Evil Hair Stress Brothers are our only enemies? Hell NO!, there is also the PESKY PILLOW KING!

Do You Know? Tossing and turning around in bed creates friction between our hair strands and the pillow, causing the cuticles to be misaligned. The misaligned cuticles create frizz and tangles, resulting in us waking up with the fabulous lion's mane the next morning. Roooooarrr~

Many of us have no choice, but to fix our hair by going through washing and blowing-dry routine every morning before we head out of the house. And this can be very time-consuming and may require us to get up earlier to fix our hair.

Fortunately, this problem can be made better and prevented with...

the NEW Essential Night Care Milk!

Formulated with hair supplement oil, which is similar to hair's natural oil; and coupled with Cuticle Coat Protection ingredients, it leaves a protective coat around each hair strand, preventing misaligned cuticles when hair rubs against the pillow. It not only protects hair from 'pillow friction', but it also intensively repairs and moisturizes the hair all through the night! With hair protected overnight and damage repaired, you will wake up to stronger, healthier hair!

How To Use?: Before going to bed, pump an appropriate amount onto palm. Spread and apply evenly onto damp or towel-dried hair, concentrating on mid-length to the tip of hair. For better results, ensure hair is completely dry before going to bed.

It feels rich, but it is not greasy at all.

Tried and Tested
The Night Care Milk gets absorbed quickly once applied on my hair, leaving no traces on the pillow. I separated my hair into two sections, applied the Night Care Milk to one section of my hair and went to bed.

The next morning, ... (pardon my just woke up face lol)

Let me zoom-in and brighten it up so that you can see the difference clearer.

... well, I believe you can tell the difference. :)

I can tell (and feel) it protects my hair from 'pillow friction' and repairs damage overnight, saving me from waking up with lion's mane hair every morning; I no longer need to go through the washing and blowing-dry routine in the morning. I just need to brush through my hair, put on makeup and ready to go in a jiffy!

All in all, I'll say... I'M IMPRESSED with both of these products as I can feel my tresses become more manageable and stronger (lesser breakage, frizz, tangles)! Not to mention, they have a light fresh floral fragrance that leave my hair smelling divine!♥

Achieving manageable, gorgeous hair isn't difficult. All you need to do is to add an extra step to your hair care regime in the day and at night. So besides pampering your tresses with hair mask treatment, boost your hair moisture and protect it from the daily external stress factors (the evil brothers), as well as pillow friction (the pesky king) with the new Essential CC Oil and Night Care Milk starting from today!

The NEW and IMPROVED Essential Leave-On Treatment range is available in the supermarkets and personal care stores, retailing at the price of SGD$11.90 each.

It's a simple left-right control game and is super easy to play!

You just have to catch the Essential products, avoiding the Evil Hair Stress Brothers and Pesky Pillow King; be the high scorer to win attractive weekly prizes!

Play it now, have fun and good luck! :)Essential CC Oil and Night Care Milk | Review

Tory Burch Lip Color in "Pas du Tout" | Review

Tory Burch Lip Color in Pas du Tout Review Hello readers~! I've been MIA for awhile... I'm back~! I will reply to all the emails and questions you readers sent to me soon. P.S.: Please forgive me for the late response. :x

Today's post is going to be a review of the Tory Burch Lip Color lipstick.

The Tory Burch Lip Color range has 12 distinctive shades — each designed to flatter a variety of skin tones. Extending from the original signature lip color, Pas du Tout, the collection ranges from tomboy neutrals to feminine pinks and bold brights. This modern formula represents the ideal balance of sheer yet vivid color and rich texture with a weightless finish.

The lipstick is encased in a rectangular case with gold and orange fretwork design.

It looks like a super-chic accessory in itself. Absolutely gorgeous~! ♥

It is available in 12 shades. I got it in the original signature shade, Pas du Tout

Fun Fact: Pas du Tout — Tory's signature color named after the French version of "she loves me, she loves me not" (a game of pulling petals off a daisy).

The lipstick bullet has Tory Burch's logo embossed on it and has a faint, pleasant scent. The shade, Pas du Tout, comes in a universally flattering pinky-peachy nude tone with subtle beautiful gold shimmer.

Here are the swatches from 1 to 5 and 10 swipes, with and without flash:

As you can tell from the swatches, this shade is ultra sheer. It would take 3 or more swipes to make it noticeable on lips; however, it doesn't really give much color to the lips — I guess that's the only drawback.

On the positive side, it is a fairly moisturizing lipstick with a very creamy-balmy texture, that glides on smoothly and melts onto the lips. It doesn't highlight lip lines or dryness, and doesn't leave a sticky after-feel. I find the color has an average lasting power; some touch-ups are needed after eating and/or drinking.

Overall, I love it! I love how it enhances my lips color, keeping them looking natural, smooth and moist. Sometimes, I would top it off with a lip gloss for an extra sheen. I think it is a perfect ultra-sheer nude shade for everyday wear, and would look good on many skin tones.

If you have pigmented lips or if you are looking for a lipstick that gives an intense color, this shade isn't for you.

Etude House AC Clinic White-Trouble Bubble Cleanser | Review

Trouble Bubble Cleanser Review At a reader's request, I will be posting a review on the Etude House AC Clinic White-Trouble Bubble Cleanser.

This is a bubble-type foam cleanser; with its rich creamy foam and micro bubble particles, it deeply cleanses the pores, melting down impurities and skin trouble inducing substances. It also helps to regulate PH balancing and protect skin from harmful environment.

The following are the key ingredients:

- Propolis Extract gives an anti-bacterial effect and supplies nutrients to dehydrated skin, as well as helps to revitalize it.

- Pine Resin protects skin from external damage. It also helps to moisturize skin and improve skin texture.

- Natural Herbal Complex contains Tussilago Farfara (Coltsfoot) FlowerAsparagus Cochinchinensis Root and Laminaria Japonica extracts that provides antioxidant effect and helps to relieve skin troubles and irritation.

It has a 4-free system: Free of Paraben, Talc, Mineral Oil, Tar

What's more, it is non-comedogenic and clinically proven hypoallergenic!

The product comes in a plastic bottle with a pull-out (?) cap.

It has a smart pump dispenser that creates an airy, soft and fluffy foam. Cool, isn't it?

The micro-bubble particles penetrate and cleanse deeply into the pores, drawing out excess oil and dirt.

How To Use:
Pump out an adequate amount of foam on hands. Massage the bubble on face evenly then wash off with lukewarm water.

Tried and Tested + Verdict

As usual, let's put it into a test...

"Moisture + Oil Test"
on my forehead.

Here's the measurement guidelines for you to refer back to later:

*P.S. Analyzing Standards:
The standard value of moisture level is 38%++, 3-5 bars (normal to very moisturized).
The standard value of oiliness (skin type) is 3 bars (normal). - means balanced, which is neither too oily nor too dry.
The standard value of cells (roughness/softness) is average/soft.

BEFORE cleansing:

AFTER cleansing:
Skin's moisture decreased from 40% to 38%; remained at 3 bars.
Oiliness decreased from 5 bars to 4 bars.
Skin's cells (.aka. skin texture) remained average.

- *Results shown are after cleansing and before applying toner and moisturizer* -

The first thing I noticed was my skin didn't get that squeaky, tight feeling or irritation after cleansing. And it dried out my non-inflamed pimples in a few days, but it wasn't very effective against my inflamed pimples. Therefore, in my opinion, it is more effective against non-inflamed pimples like whiteheads, flesh-colored bumps.

Another thing I noticed was that this AC Clinic White-Trouble Bubble Cleanser gets used up faster than the AC Clinic Daily Acne Foam Cleanser, even though they have the same amount of product (150ml). So it may be a bit costly lah. Side information: I usually use one pump and it is sufficient to cleanse my face.

Overall, the Etude House AC Clinic White-Trouble Bubble Cleanser cleanses the skin without overly stripping away the natural oils and moisture. I think it is by far the most gentlest acne cleanser I have ever come across. Ideal for sensitive skin! The only drawback is it's not very effective against inflamed acne.

If you have a lot of red inflamed pimples, I would recommend the AC Clinic Daily Acne Foam Cleanser instead of this bubble one. Pick this only if your pimples are mostly non-inflamed zits.

Innisfree No-Sebum BLUR PRIMER | Review

Innisfree No-Sebum BLUR PRIMER Previously, I did a review on the Innisfree No-Sebum Blur Pact - if you haven't read it, click to check it out!

And today, let's talk about the Innisfree No-Sebum Blur Primer — a primer that is designed to control sebum, cover pores and fine lines, leaving the skin with a smooth texture and bright complexion.

The main features of this product:
- smoothes out uneven pores and fine wrinkles, achieving a clear and smoother skin.

- contains natural minerals from Jeju and natural originated mint to control the oil-moisture balance of the skin, allowing the skin to remain soft and smooth, as well as allowing makeup to last longer.

The product comes in a matte ivory colored tube with a brown twist-off cap.

The primer can be easily extracted from the tube.

It has a soft creamy-balmy texture that glides on the skin easily. And it doesn't feel greasy at all.

How To Use:
Squeeze an appropriate amount and spread thinly over areas with visible pores after skincare and gently pat to finish.

*Note: It may cause flakes or clumps when used excessively, so use only a small amount and spread in a thin layer by tapping.

Tried and Tested + Verdict
P.S: I applied this primer only on half of my face.

- Blur Pore Effect
*Take note that the following are zoomed-in pictures; therefore, my pores may look bigger in the pictures than they seem in real life.

Only No-Sebum Blur Primer was applied.

Well, I couldn't really tell the difference in the appearance of my pores when I looked into the mirror after applying the primer. I only noticed the difference from the zoomed-in pictures taken by my camera. As you can tell from the zoomed-in pictures, it did blur my pores but the effect was very minimal — not as significant as the Blur Pact.

- Oil-Control
It does slow down and control skin's oil production, as I've noticed the side without the primer was more prone to oiliness in a few hours than the side with the primer. Therefore, I concluded that it has an excellent oil control effect.

- Smoothes Out Skin and Allows Makeup To Last Longer
My skin did feel silky smooth to the touch on the side with the primer and it helps make-up to goes on smoothly and last longer.

Overall, it does blur the pores but slightly... In my opinion, it works better in controlling oil and helping make-up to last longer.

So if you want a primer that gives a more extreme blur pores effect, this may not be the best option — well, I believe there are better ones out there. Pick this if you are looking for a primer that will keep oil under control and doesn't cause breakouts.

Besides, I find this No-Sebum Blur Primer works really well together with the No-Sebum Blur Pact. The Blur Pact softens the look of the pores while this Blur Primer controls oil and shine, helping makeup to stay put. = Perfect match~!♥

Innisfree No-Sebum BLUR PACT | Review

Innisfree No-Sebum BLUR PACT Review Today, I will be doing a review on a new product from Innisfree called the "No-Sebum Blur Pact".

Last year, I did a review on Innisfree No-Sebum Mineral Pact and I'm sure most of you readers are familiar with that product.

So similar to No-Sebum Mineral Pact, this No-Sebum Blur Pact is also a compact finishing powder designed to control sebum; but this creates a smooth and radiant skin texture with pore blurring effect.

The main features of this product:
- covers unevenness caused by pores and fine lines for a smooth and radiant skin texture.

- contains natural minerals from Jeju and natural originated mint to control the oil-moisture balance of the skin and make it more healthier-looking.

- comes in natural shade that provides a natural look and suited for all skin tones.

The pact comes in a matte ivory colored round case with a snap-on lid/case. It is very compact and light, which makes it convenient to carry around in your purse/bag.

It has a built-in mirror and comes with a soft powder puff, ...

... along with a plastic cover divide between where you keep the puff and powder itself.

This is how the powder looks in the pact:

Unlike the Mineral Pact that comes in white powder; the powder of Blur Pact has a translucent light beige color that gives a natural finish. No need to worry about having a white cast on your face when applied too much of powder.

It blends perfectly with my skin tone.

It blends perfectly with light/medium-toned skin, but I'm not sure if it would blends well with darker skin tones.

How To Use:
In the last stage of your daily make-up routine, use powder puff to gently apply onto entire face or sebum concentrated areas.

Tried and Tested + Verdict

- Blur Pore Effect:
*Take note that the following are zoomed-in pictures; therefore, my pores may look bigger in the pictures than they seem in real life.

Only No-Sebum Blur Pact Powder was applied.

I noticed a difference in the appearance of my skin after applying this powder. Not only does it leave my skin looking smoother and mattified, it also blurs out my pores, as you can tell from the zoomed-in pictures. It did not hide my pores completely, to be honest. However, it did make them look less apparent. In conclusion, it does what it claims!

- Oil-Control
It does control sebum, but in my opinion, it is not as good as the Mineral Pact. P.S: The effectiveness may vary individually as it depends on the climate you live in and individual's skin sebum production rate.

- Coverage
It gives a sheer coverage and is unable to hide dark circles, redness and blemishes. If you want more coverage, this is not the one for you.

Overall, No-Sebum Blur Pact is a good translucent setting powder. I love how it smoothes out my skin and blurs out my pores, making them less noticeable without causing any breakouts. If you are looking for a powder that blurs out pores, this is it! It goes on great by itself, and even better with Innisfree No-Sebum Blur Primer. Check out my review on No-Sebum BLUR PRIMER.
